Based on favourable experiences gained from an activity limited to 40m in the years 2012 and 2013 AGCW-DL continues with a successor to AGCW-40-x starting 29th March 2014. In its first year this activity will run until 31st December, and from 1st January to 31st December in subsequent years.

    • Goal: Encouragement of friendship among telegraphers. This activity is about friendly conversation free from the flurry and noise of contests, and for the most part only on frequencies which are protected from contests by the IARU band plan.
    • Participants: All licensed radio amateurs are invited to take part in this activity.
    • Power Categories: ≤10W, ≤100W, >100W.
    • Frequencies: The CW-segments' upper 5kHz on all Amateur Radio bands.
    • Mode: A1A only, no decoders. The slower operator determines the speed.
    • Exchange: No specific exchange is required. This activity is the opposite of a contest. Not competitive thinking and 599tu-type QSOs but friendship cultivating rag-chews are called for, the longer the better.
    • QSO Duration: Each QSO lasts at least 10 minutes. Further 10-minute-QSOs with the same station may follow without a break.
    • Joker: Participating in the AGCW Net on Mondays (3573 kHz, 1800UTC, check-in about 30 minutes earlier) including ZAP traffic counts the same as one QSO.
    • Awards: The participant with the highest number of QSOs in a power category will receive a voucher.
    • Logs: Date (once per day suffices), time from-until (UTC), call sign of station worked, freqency accurate to 1 kHz. ADIF exports need to include the working frequency accurate to 1kHz. Logs may be submitted monthly or less frequently until the 7th of the following month to the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Edmund H. Ramm, DJ6UX, Anderheitsallee 24, Bramfeld, 22175 Hamburg. Monthly intermediate results will be transmitted in the AGCW bulletin (Mondays 1800UTC on 3563kHz), and published on the This email address is being protected from spambots.
