AGCW VHF/UHF Contest

I. Target |
Increase CW activity on the VHF/UHF bands. All radio amateurs can participate. |
II. Dates |
Annually on the 1st of January, on the 3rd Saturday in March, on the 2nd Saturday in June and on the 4th Saturday in September, respectively from 14.00 to 17.00 UTC at 2m and from 17.00 to 18.00 UTC to 70cm . IV. Classes of participation |
A: up to 5 W output B: more than 5 up to 50 W output C: more than 50 W output During a contest section, neither class nor location may be changed. |
V. Operation |
Only CW (A1A). Only single operation is allowed . The use of decoders or reading software is not permitted. CALL: CQ AGCW TEST RAPPORT: RST and consecutive 3-digit QSO number (from 001) / class / WW-Locator. The slashes are to be transmitted.. Example: 579001 / A / JO31XX The participation of a club station is only valid if it is operated by a single operator. In this case, the operator uses only the club call sign throughout the entire contest. |
VI. Rating |
QRB POINTS: The distance bridged by each QSO counts 1 point per kilometer. ( According to IARU R1 rules point 10 scoring ) TOTAL POINTS: The sum of the QRB points gives the total points. Error: Wrong locator or wrong call = QSO will no count. |
VII. Awards |
Contest awards are issued to all participants as a PDF for download. With a minimum of 20 entries per band and operator certificates are issued. These are provided for download as a PDF file.

VIII. Submission of entries |
Not completed QSOs must appear in the log, but are not taken into account. Each volume counts individually. For each band a log has to be created separately. Failure to comply with the rules may result in disqualification. The logs in REG1TEST format are uploaded to http://contest.agcw.de/vhfuhf . Logfiles must be uploaded no later than eight days after the contest. If an automated upload is not possible for whatever reason participants are allowd to drop their logs by e-Mail to This email address is being protected from spambots.
